Tracking your stats online sounds geeky I know... but I'm going to break it down for you so you'll know EXACTLY how to do so without feeling like you're wasting anytime online.

It's important to track your stats for growth because you can see what is working and what’s not working so you can continue to work towards your goals.

Everything that you do online should be intentional and strategic with growing your audience online. Every social media post, every blog post, and etc.

I only look at these numbers EVERY 30 days. Don't overwhelm yourself. It's very easy to get caught up in the numbers game, and while I do track my follower counts and email list numbers I AM MORE concerned with engagement. You can learn how to increase engagement on all of your posts by clicking here.

Here are five things to track at the end of each month to make sure you're on the right track with your goals:

1. Track your Social Media Followers.

Track which platforms you are actively working on.

If you’re new, only track 2-3 platforms

If you’ve been in business for 2-5 years, track a little more but only what you’re actively working on.

Note to Self: Don’t overdo it!

Here's how to locate your followers on your social media platforms as of August 2017.

Instagram

Twitter

Facebook Page

Facebook Group

YouTube

Pinterest

You can track your analytics and statistics as much as you want to, but don't overwhelm yourself if you don't understand what they mean.

The good news is that most tools have built-in analytics but the best news is that these tracking tools are free!

If you’re working on growing your Facebook page, you can check your Facebook analytics here.

If you’re working on growing your twitter account, you can check your twitter analytics here.

If you’re working on growing traffic to your blog, you can check your google analytics here.

If you’re working on growing your YouTube channel, you can check your youtube analytics here.

2. Track your Email List.

I use ConvertKit and love it for my business. You can watch my ConvertKit tutorials here or read my blog posts about ConvertKit here.

3. Write down what is working, what's not working and what you can improve on for the next month ahead.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • how many times did I post?

  • how many sales did I make?

  • how many new leads did I get for my services?

  • how did my new leads/clients find me?

After looking at everything on the same page you'll be able to decide where you should be spending energy and intention online.

4. Write down which tools you actively used and which tools you can stop paying for!

A tool is something that you use to help you implement a system.

Look over your month and see if there are any tools that you are paying for but aren’t using and save yourself some TIME + MONEY!

Those monthly fees start to add up!

Here are my favorite tools that I've been loving lately:

5. Look at which systems can be streamlined.

A system is a breakdown of steps it takes to complete a task, think of a system more like a workflow.

Can you streamline your systems?

Yes. Try this! Repurpose your content.

Example:

- You can take one Instagram post and turn it to blog post to email to list to FB livestream to youtube video.
